I am a graduate of the Industrial Design porgram from Emily Carr University of Art+ Design in Vancouver. In my interdisciplinary design practice, I strive to create distinctive concepts that convey nuanced meanings and push against conventional limitations while being versatile.
I focus on pushing the boundaries of each material and seamlessly integrate digital processes, including laser cutting and 3-D printing, with traditional methods, forging a hybrid workflow that marries precision and intricacy with craftsmanship.
I believe in the power of play and try to integrate it in the form and movement of my work. I incorporate sculptural elements into my designs, utilizing organic forms to craft visually striking products that emphasize a blend of artistry and functionality.
Furthermore, I have a diverse toolkit of research methods, including journey mapping, mind mapping, system mapping, reflexive thematic analysis, realist review etc. Visualising and exploring connections and patterns between disparate and often seemingly unrelated aspects of a topic is how I work. I strategically employ these tools to explore ideas, pinpoint root causes, view systems holistically, and inform decision-making.
